Wildcats get 63-24 win over Blue Valley

HANOVER – The Wildcats coasted through their home game against Blue Valley on Dec. 15. Hanover quickly established a lead in the first, which grew to a 31- 10 lead at half. The second half was much of the same, with eight players scoring for Hanover. They won 63- 24.

Emmitt Jueneman led scoring with 17 points, while Jacob Jueneman had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Keagan Dimler had a strong game with 10 points, six assists and seven steals.

Centralia gets win in battle of stateranked teams

CENTRALIA – Hanover took an early lead but Centralia was hot and overtook the Wildcats by the end of the first quarter in their game on Friday in Centralia. Both teams are state-ranked, with Hanover #2 in Class 1A-Division 2 and Centralia #7 in Class 1A-Division 1, so there was no doubt this would be a strong matchup.

Emmitt Jueneman sank three 3-pointers in the first half and Blake Hynek scored 11 of his 15 points in the first half, but Hanover started to have foul trouble early. Centralia was able to pull ahead to take a 31-24 lead at the break.

Keagan Dimler sank three 3-pointers in the second half as part of his 16 points in the half, but Centralia adjusted their defense, continued to score and controlled the game, putting up 22 points in the third quarter. They were up 53-40 after the third and closed out with a 68-56 win, giving Hanover their first loss of the season.
