Wade Matthew Woodring, 43, of McLouth, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City.

Wade was born Nov. 26, 1977, at Merriam, the son of Harlan Gene “Woody” and Penny Lee Cramer Woodring. He was a 1996 graduate of McLouth High School and attended Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Wade has been disabled since May 2010 due to his aortic heart valve and not currently working. He was a certified auto technician and was self employed as a computer tech, building and repairing computers. He formerly owned “The Studio” video store in Tonganoxie and served as the manager of the Tire Shop in McLouth. Wade was a musician and was a member of the Rock Band “Synesthetic”. He served as a videographer for a video that received nominees and earned 2nd place at the Kansas City Film Festival, and he was nominated as best videographer. He was a member of McLouth United Methodist Church.

He married Melinda Raye Chalfant on Sept. 12, 1998, at McLouth. She survives, of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Adrianna Elizabeth Woodring and Hailey Lucille Woodring, one son, Caleb Anthony Woodring, all of McLouth, one brother, Dane Russell Woodring, Platte City, MO, parents, Harlan “Woody” and Penny L. Woodring, McLouth, mother and father-in -law, Vickie Arlene and Carl Chalfant, Washington, KS, grandmother-in-law, Irene Wray, a sister-in-law, Megan (Mike) Burgess, aunts, Gloria “Sue” (Sam) Di Beneditto, Karen Scheele, nieces and nephews, Meredith Grace Burgess, Eziekiel “Zeke” Gene Woodring, Izaac “Zac” Reed-Malachi, Miles Lee Burgess, Zaralyn “Zara” Alessa Gray Woodring, Zenith “Zena” Annabelle Leigh Woodring and cousins, Lisa Segler, Jennifer Burkle, and Rebecca Adam.

A celebration of life was Aug. 9 in Oskaloosa.

Burial was at McLouth Cemetery. Memorials suggested to the Woodring family to assist with expenses or for the Woodring children’s education fund. barnettfamilyfh.com
