Mary Lou Lange

Mary Lou Lange, 82, of Holland, Mich., died Feb. 18, 2024.

She was born Oct. 21, 1941, at Palmer, to Gay and Alma Hornbostel.

She was the second of two children with one sister. She graduated Linn High School in 1959.

In 1959 she married Ron Lange. They raised one daughter, Kim, and two sons, Craig, and Tod. Mary spent her life residing in Kansas until her husband passed in 2021, with her final home in Holland, Mich.

She was known as a friend to many, listening, laughing and enjoying their company. Many church potlucks hosted her favorite casserole or dessert. Her grandchildren will remember many fun visits to her home, occasionally seeing her Red Hat Club, and enjoying their loving grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and husband.

She is survived by her three children, Kim, Craig, and Tod, and sister Janet Wiese, five grandchildren, and four great-granddaughters.

A private memorial will be held with the family. The family requests that you memorialize Mary Lou with a donation to a local charity of your choice, in Mary Lou’s name. Her remains will be interred at a columbarium niche located in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, Kan.
