Larry Edgar

Larry Allen Edgar, 75, of Overland Park, formerly of Washington, died Dec. 5, 2020, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park.

Graveside funeral service was Dec. 14 at the Washington City Cemetery. Pastor Judy Hill officiated.

Larry was born March 28, 1945, at Marysville to Allen and Anna (Slama) Edgar. In 1963 he graduated from Washington High School.

On April 3, 1965, he married Lynda McGrath at the Methodist Church in Linn. To this union five children were born, Gary, Todd, Sheila, Sharon and Sarah. Lynda preceded him in death in 1995.

Larry worked for the Kansas Highway Department and would do odd jobs around the community. He liked to trap, hunt and fish.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lynda; and grandson, Eli Leahew.

Survivors include sons, Gary (Celeste) Edgar, Washington, Todd Edgar, Greenleaf; daughters, Sheila (Wayne) Bolejack, Washington, Sharon Edgar, Prairie Village and Sarah (Daniel) Leahew, Ottawa; brother, Lonnie Edgar, Wichita; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
