Karl J. Holsch, 46, died April 20, 2024, at the Washington County Hospital.

A funeral service was April 27 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Washington. Father David Metz officiated. Gay Lynn Manning was organist, Wiley Alexander was vocalist, and the hymns were “The Old Rugged Cross,” “On Eagles Wings” and “Amazing Grace.”

Honorary pallbearers were Lance Lodes, Kevin Holsch, David Stunkel, Daniel Stunkel, Joey Cook, Jerry Holtorf, Mike Cook, Jason Headrick, Steve Rolf and Timothy Lindquist Jr.

He was born in Leavenworth on Nov. 16, 1977, to Ralph and Patsy (Stabe) Holsch. In 1996, he graduated from Linn High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

On Aug. 8, 2009, he married Stacie Ptacek at Wilson, Kan. They had two children, Kaison and Kamdyn.

He was a carpenter and worked for different construction companies.

He attended Queen of Holy Rosary in Overland Park.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ruth and Herman Stabe, Hilda and Klaus Holsch; and uncles Raymond Holsch and Charlie Lodes.

Survivors include his wife, Stacie; children, Kaison and Kamdyn; parents, Ralph and Patsy Holsch; and brother, Kevin (Rebecca) Holsch.

An education fund has been established for his children. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
