This year’s Washington County Spelling Bee will be held in a similar fashion to last year’s thanks to COVID. This year, students in first through fifth grade will take the official spelling test at their schools, and their scores will be sent in to be compared with other students of the same grade from other schools. Students will receive ribbons accordingly.

For grades 6 through 8, three students will be sent from each grade to the spell down, which will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at St. John Catholic School in Hanover.
