Washington County and most rural areas adjacent to the county have seen a huge jump in the presence of COVID-19 since last week.
Washington, Clay, Cloud and Marshall Counties are all at record highs of active cases, with positive cases being found among students in many area schools, causing significant quarantines for schools and visitor bans at medical facilities.
