Kalen Richard Miller is Washington County Hospital’s New Year’s Baby. He was born at 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2021, and weighed 6 pounds, 0 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He is the first born child of Jake and Taylor (Powell) Miller, of rural Washington.
He was due Jan. 21, but labor was induced.
Taylor Miller has worked in radiology at Washington County Hospital for a year and a half; Jake Miller is a crop adjuster.
The baby was delivered by Dr. David Hodgson.
“How special is it to be able to say the doctor who delivered me also delivered my son?” Taylor Miller said. “It’s a blessing to have been able to deliver locally where the staff is more like family.”
Grandparents are Richard and Denise Powell, of Washington; Richard and Vicky Miller, of Morrowville, and Curtis and Diane Parker, of Greenleaf.
