Manor in Clay Rita F. Alexander, 95, of Clifton, died March 16, 2024, at Presbyterian Center.

She was born May 6, 1928, to Henry and Veronica (Ekart) Ruhkamp in Marysville. She attended St. Johns Catholic School in Hanover. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Clifton.

She married Lawrence (Bus) Alexander on Nov. 4, 1947, at St. Johns Baptist Catholic Church in Hanover. The couple had 7 children.

She was a housewife and home maker and a member St. Mary’s Alter Society and Clifton America Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by Kathleen (Jerry) Sorrell, of Clyde, David (Linda) Alexander, of Kerrville, Texas, Ronald (Nanay) Alexander, of Emporia, Danial Alexander, of Salina, Dennis (Carol) Alexander, of Clifton, Cynthia (Randy) Dugan, of El Dorado, Phyllis (Lowell) Reith, of Salina, and one sister in law Nan Alexander, of Sahse, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence (Bus), her parents Henry and Veronica Ruhkamp, sisters Lela Moravek and Delores Keiffer and 2 grandsons Joe Sorell and Treff Alexander.

Visitations will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clifton. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions to Alter Society, Clifton Aux. and Clifton ambulance.
