The Twin Valley League volleyball tournament format will be different this year as a result of COVID-19 precautions. The tournament was originally scheduled to be played in a one-day tournament format on Saturday at Blue Valley, but will now be a two-day format, with different divisions, at Washington and other sites.

Using each team’s league records, some of which will continue to change this week as games are played, the top eight-seeded TVL teams will play in the gold division at Washington County High School. The remaining five teams will be hosted at a site that will be determined as final records are submitted.

There will be crowd limits for the gold division games at WCHS. Each school will have a 20-person roster/pass gate form for the team and support individuals. Beyond that, each school will be allotted 80 tickets to distribute as they see fit. Any person entering the pay gates must have a ticket.

All matches will be live-streamed, with the main gym matches on the NFHS network and the west gym on the USD 108 Facebook page.

For the gold division, Pool A will include seeds 1, 4, 5 and 8. This will be the morning session, with matches at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. in both gyms.

Pool B will include sees 2, 3, 6 and 7. This afternoon session will have matches at 2, 3 and 4 p.m.

The top two teams from each pool will play semi-final and championship/third place matches on Tuesday, Oct. 20. New tickets will be issued to the four schools advancing to the Tuesday round.

The silver division matches will be held on Saturday at a site to be determined with the 9th through 13th seed teams. Matches will be played hourly starting at 9 a.m. with the final match starting around noon. Each team will play four matches in a round robin format.
