WASHINGTON - Linn built a 22-13 lead at halftime of their game on Feb. 2 at Washington County. While the Bulldogs had a strong third quarter, behind Kendra Damman’s eight points in the quarter, Washington County couldn’t miss. WCHS senior Alyssa Kern hit three 3-pointers in the quarter and Camryn Boykin had two for the Tigers, including one as the buzzer went off at the end of the third, making the score a 37-37 tie.

Washington County pulled ahead in the fourth, but a 3-pointer by Linn’s Sophia Bott with 2:07 left in the game gave the Bulldogs a 46-44 lead. Camryn Boykin made a long 2-pointer to make the score 48-46 in favor of Linn with 5.6 seconds left. A quick Linn turnover gave the ball back to Washington County. They got a couple shots off but couldn’t convert, giving Linn the two-point win.
