WETMORE – A strong inside game, with Jarik Weiche scoring 19 points and Wyatt Lange scoring 17 and grabbing 10 rebounds, gave Clifton-Clyde a 32-19 lead at half. They extended their lead in the third and won 65-41.

Weiche had 10 points in the Eagles’ 20-point second quarter, while Isaiah LeDuc-Pierce sank two 3-pointers.

The Eagles go into the Christmas break atop the Twin Valley League standings with a 5-0 league record and 6-0 overall record.

Comeback falls short for Lady Eagles

WETMORE – Clifton-Clyde had a one-point deficit going into the final quarter of their game on Friday at Wetmore. They used the third quarter to make a big comeback after being down by six points. They intended on slowing down the pace of the game to try and take the lead at the end, but turned the ball over and lost 28-32. Freshman Shea Wurtz led the team with 16 points and seven rebounds.
