Gary Fischer

Lawrence Gary Fischer, 75, formerly of Washington, died Nov. 29, 2020, at Longmont, Colo.

He was born at Odell, Neb., on June 14, 1945, to Lawrence and Betty (Spitsnogle) Fischer. In 1963, he graduated from Washington High School. He received an associate’s degree in 1966 from Fairbury Junior College.

He was united in marriage to Roberta Cox in 1966 at Haddam. They had two children, Robb and Deanna. He farmed in the Washington area and worked as an insurance crop adjuster.

In 2009 they moved to Colorado where he continued working as an insurance adjuster up until his death.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and son, Robb Fischer.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta; daughter, Deanna (Kipp) Schoen, of Windsor, Colo.; 1 granddaughter; and brother, David (Ruth) Fischer.

A private graveside service for the immediate family was Dec. 9, 2020, at the Washington City Cemetery. Pastor Dan Norwood officiated.

A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
