Clara Miller

Clara Miller, 88, of Washington, died Jan. 14, 2021, in Salina.

She was born Sept. 26, 1932, at rural Mor rowville to Orville M. and Ruby (Yeager) Spence. In 1951 she graduated from Haddam High School.

On June 15, 1952, she married Dale Galen Miller in Haddam. They had two children, Clyde and Carol.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and brother, Orville Dean Spence.

Survivors include her husband, Dale; son, Clyde (Pat) Miller, of Salina; daughter, Carol (Jerry) Fischer, of Phillipsburg; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was Jan. 20 at Haddam City Cemetery. Jim Stark officiated. Songs “Scotland the Brave” and “Amazing Grace” were played.

Pallbearers were Brandon Fischer, Colton Fischer, Scott Miller, Jerry Fischer, Dean Kranzler and Mike Hattesohl. Honorary pallbearers were Shane Miller, Sarah Miller and Ashlyn Fischer.

A memorial fund is established to the Haddam City Cemetery. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
