Body

On July 22 the members of Linn FBLA helped run the carnival games at the Washington County Fair. They worked with Linn FCCLA to do the project. The chapter members monitored and collected tickets for games such as Spin the Wheel, Ping Pong Ball Toss, and several others. The organizations would like to thank FCCLA advisor Paula Wilton and parent Amy Bott for supervising the event.

On July 25 the Linn FBLA officers Claire Beikmann, Sophia Bott, Carissa Kolle, Kelsay Mueller, and Camryn Beikmann attended the Summer Leadership Seminar in Emporia. In the morning, attendees talked about how they could raise membership and participation at district and state levels by sharing their chapters activities. Speaker, Brian Ferrell, owner of Factor 110, spoke about “Leading from the Prairie with Passion and Purpose.” The officers also participated in activities to get to know their fellow state members. During the afternoon, different sessions were available, each with varying topics relating to leadership, chapter projects, and advice for competitive events. Thank you to Deanna Kolle for driving the students and sponsoring this seminar.
