WASHINGTON – Water line replacement work will soon begin in downtown Washington. City administrator Carl Chalfant said the streets will not be blocked off when the work, which could begin this week, begins around the square and on C Street. Chalfant said the majority of the work will take place on the west side of C Street, so vehicles will not be allowed to park in the areas being worked on.
