There are 16 active cases of COVID-19 in Washington County, according to Tiffany Hayman, County Health Officer. There are no hospitalizations.

There has been a slight uptick in active cases in much of the region. Marshall County is up from 37 to 48 over the last week, while Republic County is up to 43 cases from 40. Along the Highway 36 corridor, Nemaha County is up 13 from 22 to 35 and Jewell County is up five cases from 27 to 32.

Cloud County’s new case counts show a downward trend, from 47 to 38, while Clay County is down to 76 active cases, which is the first time it has been under 100 on a Monday/Tuesday since Nov. 3.

Riley County has been trending up, going from 283 to 477. Except for Mitchell County where there was an outbreak at a nursing home, hospitalizations are trending down.
