On Feb. 7 on U.S. 36 a half-mile west of Upland Road Michael Helms, of Washington, was plowing the roadway from snow in a 2015 Freightliner when the vehicle was hit by a 2002 Pontiac driven by Cinda Hughes, of Hanover. Hughes refused transport by Washington EMS. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
