Wildcats jump to big lead over Centralia, hold off a comeback

Hanover and Centralia were the #5 and 3 seeds in the Twin Valley League boys basketball tournament, but the caliber of
play in the championship game on Saturday in Washington showed the two teams deserved to be there representing the top talent in the league. A huge second quarter by the Wildcats, where they scored 25 points to Centralia’s 14, was the game-changer for Hanover. Centralia stuck with Hanover in the third quarter and chipped away at Hanover’s lead over the
length of the fourth quarter, but the Wildcat boys held on to win 61-57.
