Duane Tegethoff

Duane Tegethoff, 79, Topeka, died Thursday, May 29, 2014, at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1934, in  Washington, the son of Bernard and Naomi (Windhorst) Tegethoff. He graduated from Washington High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-58. He was employed as a police officer for the city of Topeka for 35 years, retiring at the rank of Captain in the patrol division in 1993. Mr. Tegethoff was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a former board member of the Topeka Police Credit Union. He married Glenda Funke on May 27, 1956, in Washington. She survives. Other survivors include their children: Lisa Holmes and husband, David, Garnett, Brent Tegethoff, Ft. Scott, Carla Tegethoff, Topeka, and Lesli Ashburn, Topeka; three grandchildren; one greatgrandson; brothers, Richard Tegethoff and Vernon Tegethoff, both of Washington; and sister, Ileen Lummus, Arroyo Grande, Calif.

Olinda Gross

Olinda Gross, 94, Washington, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at her home. Survivors include her husband, Merle; daughter, Myrna Skrabal and husband, Bill, Washington; son, Ronald Gross and wife, Loeda, Salina; four grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren and three greatgreat-grandchildren. A funeral service was Tuesday, June 3, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Linn. Burial was in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.

Mary Lillibridge

Mary E. Lillibridge, 88, Topeka, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Atria Hearthstone. She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Greenleaf, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Diederich) Hellman. She was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. She worked in the claims department for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas for 17 years before retiring in 1996. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes L. Hellman and Anna Noyes. She is survived by a sister Marcellene M. Wilson, Topeka. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, June 2 at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church, Topeka. Interment was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Greenleaf. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church sent in care of Brennan- Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603. Robert Mason “Bob” Dula, 84, formerly of Barnes, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in Mesquite, Nev. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Cummins Dula, Mesquite, Nev.; daughter, Linda Britton and husband, Larry, Mesquite and Colorado; son, Michael Dula and wife, Gloria, Irvine, Calif.; sister, Betty Jo Kahler, Longmont, Colo.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Neb., with Pastor Kerry O’Bryant offi ciating. Interment was at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dick Woods

Dick Athes Woods, 83, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at his home in Garden City. Survivors include his wife, Donis Huffman; a son, Dick Woods, Columbia, S.C.; daughters, Donna Harsh, Holcomb, and Denise Fenton, Wichita; sisters, Helen Berney and Lucille Zabokrtsky, both of Washington; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 27 at the Church of the Nazarene, Garden City. Interment was in the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, with Military Honors.
