Hannah Zarybnicky, a seventh grader at St. John Catholic School in Hanover, was first up to spell a word during the oral spelldown at the Washington County Spelling Bee on Saturday at Clifton-Clyde Middle School. There were nine participants in the spelldown, which took three rounds to determine a champion.
