Robin Kelley, 51, Hanover, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at her home. She was born on June 21, 1963, to Oscar and Joan (Harrell) Meyn at Marysville. She graduated from Hanover High School. She attended Southeast Community College, Beatrice, Neb., and Bee County College and earned a degree in nursing. After a career in nursing, she changed careers and worked in accounting for the Jacksonville Police Chief, Value Bank of Texas, Portland ISD accounts payable and Preston Trucking as the supervisor of accounts payable. On Aug. 11, 1984, she married Randy Kelley at Kingsville, Texas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She and her husband moved to Hanover in April of 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kim Meyn. Survivors include her husband, Randy; sons, Daniel Kelley, Pensacola, Fla., Travis Kelley, Rockport, Texas; daughter, Morgan Soriano, Waukegan, Ill.; brothers, Steve Meyn, Alexandria, Neb., Timmy Meyn, Savanah, Ga., Tommy Meyn, Fairbury, Neb.; sisters, Cindy Waddington, Hanover, Linda Taras, Odell, Neb.; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was Wednesday, July 23 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hanover. Pastor Judy Hill officiated. Mae Nieman played the organ while the congregation sang “Amazing Grace,” “What a Friend We have in Jesus” and “Beautiful Savior.” The pallbearers were Travis Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Tommy Meyn, Tad Waddington, Johnny Rodriguez and George Kelley. Burial was in the Hanover City Cemetery. A memorial fund is established in her name and will be designated later by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary.
