Jimmie W. Woods departed this life surrounded by family on July 21, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Rehabilita-tion Center. He was born 84 years ago in Morrowville to Helen (Walters) and John Woods. He lived the majority of his life in Kansas City. Jimmie was a graduate of Morrowville High School where he met his love, Luella Hauschel. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Jimmie was employed by IBM where he retired after 30 years in 1986. During his retirement, Jimmie was never one to sit still. He started his own maintenance service where he made numerous friends and acquaintances. He was known for his honesty and caring attitude. He made countless lives more enjoyable. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, Boy Scouts of America, traveling and visiting with family and friends. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Luella; brothers Jerry and Don; children John (Lorrie); Sid (Karen); Tammy (Dave); six grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, July 25 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 S.W. 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, Mo. Interment and a graveside service were at Washington City Cemetery on July 26.
