CLYDE – The Osborne Bulldogs jumped to an early lead over the Clifton-Clyde Eagles in the 8-man Division 1 championship game on Friday at Clyde. They scored the first three touchdowns to go up 20-0. The first was a 44 yard run on the first play of the game. The second Osborne touchdown was a 41 yard run on the fifth play of the game. The Eagles had given up early leads several times this season and Head Coach Russ Steinbrock thought “here we go again.” Many teams would have buckled under that score, but not the Eagles. Clifton-Clyde finally got on the board late in the first half via a pass play from senior quarterback Caleb Gelino to fellow senior Austin Biggerstaff.
